Mr. Cat Bio

Hey there!

Hey there!

You so totally need a cat.

I’m a friendly, low-maintenance, indoor cat who wants to sit by your side and purr. And I’m ready for adoption in the Seattle area.

My foster parents say “Mr. Cat is an affectionate, lively 3-year-old orange-and-white tabby. We are impressed by his excellent indoor behavior. He does not scratch furniture or climb bookcases (which is more than we can say for our own cats). He’s fine with being picked up and carried around, and is friendly to visitors. He’s now up to date on his shots and even has a microchip for his new owner to register.”

But let me tell you my real story.

Three years ago, someone in Walla Walla dumped me out of a car in a rural area. Fortunately, I found my way to a farm where they fed me, took me to the vet, and in the winter let me sleep inside the garage. I wanted so much to get into the house, but the people were allergic to cats. Buster (another cat) and I stayed outside.

One day someone put Buster and me into carriers and took us to Seattle. (Editor’s note: The people were selling the farm and moving to a retirement community that did not allow cats.) Buster went to live with one family and I came to live with Karen and Tom in their TV room. I’m finally indoors! I have a couch to myself, plus they bought me a fancy cat tree with dangling toys.

IMG_6510I like to spend my days lolling on the couch and on window sills and playing with toys in the cat tree. In the evening people come into the TV room. Sometimes I sit with them on the couch and get petted. Other times I hang out on the cat tree while they work. Yes, I am a people cat!

Unfortunately, my foster parents discovered that I don’t like other cats. They already have three cats, and last week I got upstairs and tried to beat up the big tabby. I nearly succeeded! Now they’ve decided I need to be in a one-cat household and, frankly, that’s what I’d prefer.

Got a place for me? Please use the contact page to reach Karen and Tom and make an appointment to come meet me in Seattle!
